Abdelrahman is a sixth year Medical student at Facility of Medicine, Cairo University and a team leader at Life Makers NGO, one of the biggest NGOs in Egypt which is leading social entrepreneurial and sustainable development projects. In April 2008 he helped found the "6 April Youth Movement" - the first youth movement that used Facebook and Twitter for political acts and the most important youth movement which lighted the spark for the 25th of January Revolution .

Abdelrahman is also a member of "Tahrir Square Doctors Movement " and a member of the Higher Council of 'Misr' party which is a new political party in Egypt and the first political party to tackle the issues of sustainable development as a means of national development. Abdelrahman is currently participating in ISFIT which is an international student festival Held in Trondheim, Norway.
